She was born in Catanzaro, Calabria. After completing her classical studies at the Liceo Classico “Istituto Sant’Antonio di Padova” in Soverato, she began her academic journey at the University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Psychology in July 2024.
She is currently in her final year of the Master’s degree in Forensic and Criminological Psychology at the same university. She will qualify as a psychologist upon completion of her postgraduate studies and professional requirements.
She is particularly interested in psychological and social dynamics and is motivated to contribute, through her professional path, to personal growth and the well-being of individuals and communities.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling: she has visited Japan several times and has traveled across various European countries, experiences that have broadened her cultural perspective.

Katarzyna Oklesińska, Kasia in short, is from Poland and she has been an English Language Teacher for over ten years. 

She has graduated from BA and MA studies in English Philology with a primary specialisation in English Language Teaching and secondary specialisations in Translation and Polish Language Teaching. As part of her MA studies, Kasia also completed a year-long study abroad programme at University College Dublin in Ireland. Additionally, she graduated from a CELTA course and was awarded with Pass A.

 Kasia has a comprehensive English teaching experience as she worked with various age groups throughout her career: very young learners, primary education children, adolescents, university students and, finally, adults. Kasia worked as a language teacher in four different countries: Poland, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Italy. She is keen on getting to know different cultures and she thrives in a multinational environment – her students come from 5 different continents!

Her teacher training adventure began in 2017 while working as a Director of Studies at one of the language schools in Poland and Cambridge Authorised Exam Centre. Kasia also shared her teaching methodology knowledge with pre-service teachers at the University of Lodz, Poland, where she ran a course on adapting and developing ELT materials. She loves writing and she was a peer writing tutor at English wRiting Improvement Centre (ERIC) and an English Academic Writing instructor at the University of Lodz.

Currently, Kasia is a self-employed English Language Teacher and a teacher trainer. She runs Media Information Literacy (MIL) and Video Education course at JUMP. Kasia loves incorporating new technologies into her lessons as they provide a bridge between students’ real life and an educational context. She was inspired to start experimenting with video editing by her Italian students in Tuscany a few years ago and she has been a huge fan of digital storytelling ever since.

Jess McMurray is a British educator, writer, and communications specialist with a second base in Calabria, working with JUMP Erasmus to deliver innovative training programmes for teachers and educational providers across Europe. A graduate of Oxford University, where she studied Law, Jess began her career as a freelance academic writing tutor before moving into communications for international technology firms.

Her professional and personal life have taken her across Europe and Asia – living in Slovakia, Montenegro, Italy, Thailand, and the Czech Republic – experiences that have deeply shaped her intercultural approach to education and communication. Jess holds a second degree in Liberal Arts from Charles University, Prague, specialising in Irish literature, philosophy, and Soviet history. Alongside her academic background, she has trained as both a chef and a mechanic, and even worked in a Scottish whisky distillery – a fitting pursuit given her lifelong passion for whisky.

An avid traveller and long-distance walker, Jess has completed numerous journeys on foot, including the Camino de Santiago and a 62-day walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats. These experiences inform her reflective, holistic perspective on learning and personal growth. At JUMP, Jess focuses particularly on language education and student engagement, advocating for teaching approaches that move beyond traditional classroom models. Her training sessions emphasise practical, participatory methods and encourage teachers to become active agents of change – not only in their classrooms, but across their entire educational communities. Jess speaks Italian and a slightly odd mix of Czech and Slovak, and is learning Thai and Swedish, and believes passionately that language learning is one of the most powerful tools for empathy, connection, and transformation in modern education.

Teacher specialised in support activities for pupils with disabilities in I and II grade secondary schools.

She is a support teacher with four years of experience in the didactic-educational paths of pupils with special educational needs. She completed her school career at the Istituto Comprensivo “M. Squillace” in Montepaone Lido, where she followed the learning processes of pupils in a first grade class and created inclusive and customised learning environments. She also coordinated, together with other colleagues, an inclusive theatre-music project.
