Dear Erasmus+ Coordinators,
We are pleased to invite you and your students to participate in the IX Edition of the Euro.Soul Festival and the Schuman Cup in Soverato, Calabria, Italy, from May 5 to 11, 2025.
Since 2013, JUMP has celebrated the birthday of the European Union with a unique festival that promotes European values through culture, sport and education. The Schuman Cup, on of the core events, is a football tournament for children aged 10-12. The Schuman Cup is more than an ordinary tournament: it playing football competition with an exciting Euro-quiz, allowing participants to demonstrate their knowledge of the EU’s founding principles while competing on the pitch.
This year, we aim to make the Schuman Cup truly international by inviting delegations from the six founding countries of the European Union: Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France and Italy. We would be delighted to host a delegation of (at least) 12 students from your country, who will take part in a week-long program that includes educational workshops on European citizenship and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as active participation in the Schuman Cup football matches and quizzes.
Important to know:
– Students aged 10-12, with two “over-age” students (9 or 13 years old) allowed per team.
– Gender diversity is encouraged, and up to two girls per team can be on the field at the same time. We are proposing a week of educational activities, cultural exchanges, and sporting events, culminating in a soccer tournament and Euro Quiz challenge. The winning team will be determined by a combination of goals scored and quiz points (“Schuman Goals”).
