Human beings are born and grow up, in most cases, in the company of others. It is important to share, to talk, and to grow together as part of a social society.

Yet community can also exist across great distances — a virtual space where it is important to remain informed, connected, and socially engaged; a space situated in a dimension of time and place that cannot be seen, but can be felt.

Social media has many faces and various purposes: it can be used to inform or to be informed — everything depends on how it is used. Some people use tools such as artificial intelligence as if it were a friend with whom they can share their day; others use it to write code; still others seek inspiration and ask this form of intelligence for assistance.

It is often used to feel close despite being far apart; it helps people keep up with the times or gives them space to imagine.

There are those who criticize this world, voicing their opposition and condemning it. Some argue that the use of screens resembles an addiction from which we should distance ourselves. Others believe that progress should be embraced and supported.

Perhaps, in the end, what truly matters is not how many connections are made, but how many of them become something more than just a simple contact
