STREAM & ECO.SCHOOL Training with spanish and portuguese teachers

The last week of March, I held a joint session combining STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education with an eco-school approach. The teachers were from Spain and Portugal. The session aimed to provide a rich cross-curricular learning experience. It was a three-day session that aimed to foster participants’ engagement in environmental education and language learning while integrating scientific questioning, technology, and creative expression.

The purpose of the session was to create an immersive learning environment which integrated the STREAM method with eco-school principles. Furthermore, to encourage critical thinking about sustainability in the environment and hence promote collaborative learning and teamwork.
The three-day session was a success among the teachers, for they actively engaged in a variety of STEAM and eco-school activities. Integrating eco-school principles into the STREAM framework helped participants develop a deeper understanding of sustainability and how to effectively communicate in real-world contexts.

In conclusion, the session provided a vigorous and rewarding learning experience that blended Science, technology, maths, engineering, art and eco-school concepts creatively and engagingly. The teachers took away a greater appreciation for environmental sustainability and an enhanced understanding of the STREAM method.
