From April 29 to May 10, 2026, the JUMP Association proudly hosted in Soverato the Slovak delegation from Spojena skola Kollarova 17 (Sečovce). This intense collaboration saw the Slovak participants deeply involved as active participants in the activities and organization of the Euro.Soul Festival 2026, bringing fresh energy and European values to the heart of Calabria.
During their stay, the members of the delegation took part in every phase of the event, focusing on intercultural workshops and the public initiatives celebrating Europe Day on May 9. To capture the essence of this experience, the Slovak team developed a series of detailed daily reports on their experiences and contributions to the event.
To share their experiences, the Slovak team wrote daily reports about the event. Below is the official report of their very first day with JUMP, written by Daniel Bodnár.
Day 1: Sunrise, Cultural Insights, and Hands-on Preparations
On the first day, after a stunning sunrise at Soverato Beach, we gathered at Villa Gabriela to explore the impact of the Euro.Soul Festival and associated programs. We participated in discussions on how cultural initiatives foster development, gaining a better understanding of how these projects bridge gaps between different backgrounds.
Following a refreshing swim in the sea and an authentic exchange over lunch at a local restaurant, we committed our afternoon to direct action by supporting the JUMP staff with essential event preparations for the festival. These hands-on efforts allowed us to contribute directly to the project’s success while strengthening our professional connection with the organization and the program’s goals.
