Final conference of the “Eco-label” Project: empowering Youth for Sustainable Change

In an era where sustainability is more critical than ever, international partnerships are crucial for a more eco-conscious future. In March 2025, after 2 years of coordinated activities for the “ECO-LABEL” project, in the context of the Erasmus+ program, the representatives of the three project partners – the Italian JUMP Association, the Austrian Association for Ecological and Social Sustainability (LEVILO) and the Slovenian International Institute for the Implementation of Sustainable Development (MIITR) – reunited in Soverato (Italy) for a three days meeting discussing the project results, dissemination activities and future steps to go on with the partnership.

On the occasion of the Transnational Project Meeting closing, on March 7th 2025, the JUMP Association organized a final conference hosted at the Scientific Lyceum, in Soverato. The event brought together the project partners, Italian students, NGOs, and various stakeholders. Among the participants was a group of Latvian students, part of the Erasmus+ “Online Technologies in Teaching” program, who had the unique opportunity to engage in the “Eco-label Outdoor Digital City Game” during their training at JUMP Academy Professional Training. To ensure wider participation, the meeting was also shared via the Zoom online platform, allowing the project to reach a broader community of stakeholders and interested parties.

The conference highlighted the projects’ objectives, impacts, and outcomes, aiming at raising awareness about eco-labels among young European consumers and encouraging their involvement in initiatives promoting sustainable behaviour. Among the project outputs, following the awareness-raising campaign on eco-friendly attitudes, the project introduced a virtual platform (https://eco-label.info) gathering all relevant information about eco-labels and valuable resources (e-booklet on eco-labels, online training courses, awareness-assessing surveys, monthly newsletters) for individuals looking at deepening their understanding of eco-friendly practices.

The active participation of the Latvian students was a great example of successful dissemination efforts. During their weekly training, they experienced a hands-on learning experience about the “Eco-label Outdoor Digital City game” delivered by the JUMP Academy Professional Training. During the conference, they became project ambassadors adapting the game for indoor spaces and facilitating it among their Italian peers using digital technologies and QR codes.

The journey toward a more sustainable future doesn’t end here: with the commitment of all involved, this project will continue to inspire and promote concrete actions for a greener and more conscious world.
