Connecting from all over Europe teachers, educators and young people interested in the topic, the two sessions were completely dedicated to the importance of Ecolabels and several topics considered and highlighted through slides explained in detail.

During the first session, held on October 3rd, one of the key topics was the challenge of shopping in today’s market. Since we have a large variety of products available in our supermarkets, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for consumers to differentiate between them. To stand out, many brands now emphasize their environmental credentials or market themselves as “green”.

Summarizing the content of the session, what ecolabels are and the advantages and disadvantages of eco labeling and the 3 main benefits were discussed.
Furthermore, giving importance to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification establishes credibility and trust among consumers, customers and other trading partners. In the international marketplace, this designation validates an organization’s adherence to global standards of quality assurance, production and trade. For business organizations, understanding what ISO certification entails can help optimize business practices and inspire confidence in stakeholders.
Remember that ECOLABEL is in part designed to stimulate the market for green products by paying attention to how to use ECO-LABEL.

The second session was held on October 10th, the β€œWorld Eco-Label Day”. This was a day dedicated to eco-labeled products and services that have been proven to be environmentally preferable and tested to ensure the best products for your health and the health of the planet.
The session concluded by giving importance to the Objectives of ECO Label that are centered around promoting environmental sustainability and supporting eco-friendly products and services. These objectives can be explored under the following key themes:
– EDUCATE CONSUMERS: ECO Label aims to increase awareness and education among consumers and producers about their impact on the environment. This promotes sustainable consumption and production habits.
– ELEVATING ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS: ECO Label sets high standards to reduce the environmental impact of products and services and encourages reaching these standards. This includes more efficient use of resources and reducing waste.
– TRASPARENCY AND RELIABILITY: ECO Label provides transparent and reliable information about the environmental impacts of products and services, helping consumers make informed decisions.
Also to celebrate this WORLD DAY ON ECOLABELS, fun and interactive games were played to raise awareness of conscious consumption and increase knowledge of green brands.
What better way to raise awareness and educate on this topic.
