The call combines the importance of reading at European level in young people aged 11 to 18 and the acquisition of digital skills useful to make the new generations more media literate but also in high demand in the world of work.
After the great success of the first edition, the JUMP Youth Association of Soverato https://associazionejump.it/, announces the second edition of the CONTEST ‘Let’s Book Trailers. Reading, cinema and magic at school’, the winners of which will be announced and awarded on the occasion of the 9th edition of the Euro.Soul Festival – 05-09/05/2025 – which aims to celebrate – as every year since 2013 – the Birthday of Europe.
The big news is that the Contest becomes international and already sees the participation of schools from Bulgaria, Germany, Greenland, Romania, Latvia. Italy and Poland.
Do you know what a book trailer is?
Do you have imagination, creativity and feel like a young video maker or potential future filmmaker?
Check out the platform created by JUMP from 2021 which is the only European Digital Library of Book Trailers to date https://europeanbooktrailers.eu/
You can already watch over 600 Book Trailers made by readers of all ages from different European countries in various languages.
Recipients of the call for entries
Students aged 11-18 divided into two categories (11-14 – 15-18)
JUMP is always ready to train you online in view of the deadline of 23 APRIL 2025.
There are 3 upcoming dates for ONLINE info-training meetings
- Tuesday 08 April from 15 to 17
- Thursday 10 April from 15:00 to 17:00
- Tuesday 15 April from 17 to 18:30
A European CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION certifying the hours and participation will be awarded.

How to participate
Participants will have to realise a Book Trailer, a short video narrating and promoting a book of their choice, through images, text and music.
The video must
- have a maximum duration of 2 minutes (1 minute and a half is ideal);
- be original and made in the language of your choice;
- be sent to the organisation by 23.04.2025

Evaluation Criteria
A jury of industry experts will assess the Book Trailers on the basis of:
- originality, creativity and coherence with the chosen book;
- involvement and ability to convey the message
technical and artistic quality.
Visibility of Book Trailers
Your Book Trailer will be seen by hundreds, maybe thousands of users across Europe and even overseas
JUMP will give credit to all Book Trailers received (unless there are technical problems due to copyrighted music, for example) by publishing them and giving them great visibility internationally through publication on the https://europeanbooktrailers.eu/ platform and on the various social channels followed by thousands of followers. A post will be dedicated to each Book Trailers with the hashtags

AWARDING THE BEST BOOK TRAILERS IN MAY DURING THE EURO.SOUL FESTIVAL
The winners of the second edition of the ‘Let’s Book Trailers’ contest will be awarded on the occasion of Euro.Soul Festival (5-9 May – IX edition) during the theatrical performance scheduled for Thursday 8 May, in Soverato and ONLINE to all people in streaming.
