Third Week Traineeship Experience for the Four French Students: Learning, Collaboration, and Growth at FERMENTIS Art Studio

The third week the four French students participating in the Erasmus+ traineeship at the FERMENTIS art studio were joyful and inspiring. As the students wrote in their reflections they explored new materials, techniques and approaches that expanded their art practical knowledge and creative skills.

Working alongside the artists Luna and Antonio, the students actively participated in the workshop’s daily activities, strengthening their collaborative spirit. This final week successfully concluded the traineeship, leaving the students with lasting memories and a strong sense of personal and professional growth.

Here there are some of their last thoughts before coming back to France:

“This week, I was once again at Luna and Antonio’s workshop, but this time we made wooden necklaces. At the end of the week, Clara and I painted a folding screen. It was a very good week, as usual, and I would like to thank once again the people who welcomed us.
Merci.”

“This week was different from the previous ones. It’s always a pleasure working with Luna and Antonio. We sorted several bins of mosaic tiles by color, while my two other classmates painted a folding screen. We also continued making jewelry and small wooden objects. On Friday evening, we joined the Belgians during their visit to Davoli; they stopped by the workshop at the end of the day. It was very interesting. Another excellent week!”

“This week, we started with a trip to the center of Soverato to show the Belgians who had just arrived around. Then we spent the rest of the week in Davoli at Luna and Antonio’s workshop, making necklaces, sorting mosaic tiles, and painting a folding screen. This weekend we went shopping, and then we went swimming.”

“We have finished the third week, which went just as well as the first two. On Monday, I enjoyed showing the city of Soverato to the new arrivals at the villa, the Belgians. They were really pleasant; they are the people we communicated with the most. They are very sociable, and it was so lovely. The internship is still going very well, with a new activity that Luna and Antonio introduced to us (painting a folding screen). We also helped them with other small tasks in the workshop. Our comfort at the villa continues to be very well ensured thanks to the staff, so thank you. On the weekend, we go out to the city center to discover small restaurants and little shops. The end of this trip is going very well and leaves me with many good memories.”
