Stress Management for Educators: Building Resilience in the Classroom

Transform Stress into Strength

During the week of October 5th to 12th, JUMP had the pleasure of hosting six teachers from Poland, who took part in the “Stress Management” course.
The program, part of a professional development pathway for teachers and educators, was designed to provide practical tools and effective strategies for managing both personal and professional stress – a key topic in today’s educational field.

The Stress Management course explored the main causes and manifestations of stress, offering participants the opportunity to reflect on their own emotional responses and develop resilience and self-regulation skills. The training combined indoor theoretical sessions, focused on understanding the psychological and physiological processes related to stress, with outdoor practical activities designed to promote wellbeing and the mind–body connection.

During the outdoor sessions, particular attention was given to mindfulness, a practice that encourages living fully in the present moment with awareness and without judgment.
Through breathing exercises, guided meditation, and mindful walks in nature, participants experienced the benefits of mindfulness as an essential tool for managing stress.

This experiential approach highlighted how mindfulness can become a valuable everyday resource to enhance personal wellbeing and professional balance, contributing to more positive and harmonious educational environments.

KEY WORDS: Breathe, Balance, Become
