On June 12, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, a dissemination event entitled “Youth Connecting Youth” took place at the Municipal Theatre of Satriano, a small village in Southern Italy. The event brought together young people in an open and dynamic environment aimed at fostering dialogue, exchanging ideas, and reflecting on the challenges and opportunities that characterize the digital era.
The dissemination activity focused on the concept of Digital Youth and on the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence on the lives of young people. Participants explored how digital technologies are transforming education, communication, employment, and social interaction, highlighting both the benefits and the challenges associated with these rapid changes.
Particular attention was given to the role of Artificial Intelligence in everyday life and its influence on the future of younger generations. Discussions addressed topics such as digital literacy, responsible use of technology, critical thinking in the digital environment, and the importance of developing skills that enable young people to actively participate in an increasingly technology-driven society.
The event provided an opportunity for participants to share experiences, perspectives, and concerns, promoting peer learning and encouraging greater awareness of the digital transformation currently shaping communities across Europe. Through constructive dialogue and active participation, “Youth Connecting Youth” successfully contributed to strengthening young people’s understanding of digital innovation and its social impact, while fostering a sense of responsibility and engagement for the future.
