JUMP Bridged Cultures in Soverato: Slovak Youth Explored Italian Schools and Creativity during Euro.Soul 2026

The energy of the Euro.Soul Festival 2026 continued to grow in Soverato. Day after day, JUMP guided the Slovak delegation into unique intercultural experiences, creating strong connections between international youth and the local community.

Below is the official diary of this intense sixth day. Once again, all the Slovak students worked as a team to gather their memories, while Sofia Cackova successfully shaped and finalized the text.

Day 6: School Visits, Intercultural Games, and Mandalas on the Beach

That morning, we were divided into two groups and went to Italian schools together with students from other countries. Our group was welcomed by young musicians, and then we had a presentation about the European Union. Later, we made sea animals out of clay in the classroom.

During the break, we did interviews with teachers, and then we played an icebreaker game on the playground, where we met new people and made new friends. We also had a history lesson and saw what a typical class in Italian schools looked like.

The second group worked on activities about EU countries and later, on the beach, they matched flags, languages, and capital cities to the countries.

After that, we all met and went to a restaurant for lunch. After a short rest at the hotel, we gathered at the Soverato sign and went on a calm, quiet walk to a small forest, where we did various sensory activities.

At the end, we created beautiful mandalas in groups on the beach. It was a very pleasant and interesting day that I will remember for a long time.
