Clear Minds Online: Fighting Misinformation

In our era we often hear about fake news associated in particular with social media and hyperconnectivity. This phenomenon is closely linked to misinformation and how it travels quickly.

Is it possible to protect yourself from all of these hoaxes?

The answer is absolutely YES! The Washington Times also recommends a series of suggestions for users, such as: stop and do more research; be wary and check the original source; create a list of credible sources.

So the best way to fight the misinformation is:

  • develop a critical thinking to evaluate the options and make  decision
  • share responsibly
  • be respectful about the use of technology when interacting with online communities
  • analyze and evaluate media content consciously through media literacy

Awareness and responsibility online are the best weapons against the fake news world.
